Why there is no option of "Today" in Activesync calendar settings?

In the Activesync calendar settings, there is a setting to configure the
synchronization of past appointments with the options: All, past 2 weeks,
past 1 month, and so on. Why there is no option to synchronize today and
future appointments? I am usually not concern the past appointments, so can
I configure the synchronization of calendar items with “Today” and future
dates?

Can anyone help? Thanks.

Thanks Rock,

Just want to ask a followup question:
Is there any option to sync with “Today and all future appointments”, such
as modification of PC registry?

Rdgs,
Johnny
Thanks for your reply.
Based on my knowledge, the setting for "Synchronize only the past <2 weeks> of appointments and all future appointments" applies only to appointments created in Outlook that are synchronized.
1.Activesync is configured on the device for 2 weeks past and all future appointments
?Create an appointment in Outlook 4 weeks out from today; synchronize
?The appointment will not show on the device
2.Change the Activesync configuration on the device for 1 month past and all future appointments; synchronize
?The appointment that was created in Outlook appears that is 4 weeks out from today
3.Change the Activesync configuration on the device back to 2 weeks past and all future appointments; synchronize
?The appointment that was created in Outlook will be removed again
4.Create an appointment on the device for the same day that is 4 weeks out from today; synchronize
?This appointment will appear in Outlook and on the device
Hope this helps. If anything is unclear, please feel free to ask me.
Thanks.
